Rocco Rescigno

Rocco Rescigno inizia gli studi musicali presso la Scuola di Musica di Passons seguito da Francesco Cossettini (trombone) e Claudio Zinutti (pianoforte e organo). Nel 2011 consegue la Laurea Triennale in Trombone con il massimo dei voti e la lode presso il Conservatorio Statale di Musica J. Tomadini di Udine sotto la guida del Prof. Domenico Lazzaroni. Dal 2011 studia presso l’Universität der Künste di Berlino con i docenti Prof. Stefan Schulz, Andreas Klein e Rainer Vogt dove nel 2015 si laureato con il massimo dei voti e menzione e nel 2017 è stato selezionato e premiato come studente meritevole. Attualmente frequenta il corso superiore solistico Konzertexamen presso l’Universität der Künste di Berlino. Ha partecipato a concorsi internazionali ottenendo premi, segnalazioni e borse di studio dal Rotary Club di Perg (Austria) e dalla fondazione DAAD (Germania). Dal 2015 al 2017 è stato membro della Karajan Akademie dei Berliner Philharmoniker. Dal 2017 ricopre il ruolo di Primo Trombone Solo nell’orchestra dei Duisburger Philharmoniker / Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Nel corso degli anni è stato membro della Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Central European Initiative Youth Orchestra e dell’orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori. Collabora attivamente con le orchestre delle Radio di Colonia e Berlino così come le Opere di Berlino e varie orchestre sul territorio tedesco. Ha effettuato registrazioni dal vivo per Radio Vaticana a Roma, RBB a Berlino e WDR a Colonia. Dal 2015 è solista del Festival di musica contemporanea Risuonanze, lavorando alle prime esecuzioni assolute ed italiane di brani per trombone solo commissionati dall’associazione TKE. Dal 2020 è Docente di Trombone presso la Folkwang Universität der Künste di Essen (Germania). Suona strumenti della ditta Kromat (Wilstedt-Germania).

Rocco Rescigno started his musical studies at the Music School of Passons under the guidance of Francesco Cossettini (trombone) and Claudio Zinutti (piano and organ). In 2011 he attended the bachelor’s degree in Trombone with honors at the J. Tomadini State Conservatory of Music in Udine under the guidance of Prof. Domenico Lazzaroni. He has been studying at the Universität der Künste in Berlin since 2011 with professors Prof. Stefan Schulz, Andreas Klein and Rainer Vogt, where he graduated in 2015 with honors and mention and in 2017 he was selected and awarded as a deserving student. He is currently attending the Konzertexamen solo higher course at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. He participated in international competitions obtaining prizes, recommendations and scholarships from the Rotary Club of Perg (Austria) and the DAAD foundation (Germany). From 2015 to 2017 he was a member of the Karajan Akademie of the Berliner Philharmoniker. Since 2017 he has been holding the role of First Trombone Solo in the orchestra of the Duisburger Philharmoniker / Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Over the years he has been a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Central European Initiative Youth Orchestra and of the National Orchestra of Conservatories. He actively collaborates with the orchestras of Radios of Cologne and Berlin as well as with the Berlin Operas and various orchestras all across Germany. He recorded live for Vatican Radio in Rome, RBB in Berlin and WDR in Cologne. Since 2015 he has been a soloist of the Risuonanze contemporary music festival, working on the Italian premiers of pieces for solo trombone commissioned by the TKE association. Since 2020 he has been Professor of Trombone at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen (Germany). He plays instruments of the Kromat company (Wilstedt-Germany).
