Il multi-percussionista austriaco David Christopher Panzl è nato a Salisburgo e ha iniziato la sua educazione alle percussioni all’età di quattro anni. Ha eseguito il suo primo concerto da solista all’età di 13 anni e ha visitato New York più volte per studiare jazz mentre era ancora a scuola. David Christopher Panzl ha conseguito il Master of Arts, diplomandosi con lode al Conservatorio di Vienna e ha continuato a studiare marimba sotto la guida di Keiko Abe alla Toho Gakuen School of Music di Tokyo. The Austrian multi-percussionist David Christopher Panzl was born in Salzburg and began his percussion education at the age of four. He performed his first solo concert at the age of 13, and visited New York multiple times to study jazz while still in school.
David Christopher Panzl received his Master of Arts degree, graduating summa cum laude at the Conservatory of Vienna and went on studying marimba under the tutelage of Keiko Abe at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo.
Since being appointed lecturer at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2012, he has been dedicated to helping develop the next generation of musicians. He is often assigned as a judge at international music competitions and leads inspiring master classes around the world.
David Christopher Panzl has appeared as a soloist in some of the most significant concert halls including the Suntory Hall Tokyo, the Seoul Art Center, and the Vienna Concert Hall (Wiener Konzerthaus). He has collaborated with the Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the German Chamber Orchestra of Berlin.
